Terez VanPelt is an Elite Skill Development Trainer. He is known for his attention to detail as he calls them “Hoop Secrets” and making sure players can apply these skills into game situations. Terez played basketball at Concordia University, St. Paul, a Division II college where he finished as the Second All Time Leading Scorer. Earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education, Terez continued to expand upon his passion to teach youth through education at Zanewood Elementary School. His background inspired TVP Basketball’s Hoop Secret University (HSU) program where he created a training system to help players improve. In 2017, he started as one of the top trainers of the global brand Hoops and Christ, which highlights the importance of faith throughout the game of basketball. He had the opportunity to work with a variety of players including professionals such as Nuni Omot and Zach Lofton (due to his reputation of helping players develop elite ball-handling skills). TVP Basketball was selected to lead Courtside Films Camp for both boys and girls, which includes nationally ranked high school players from all over the country. Terez has a deep passion to help players succeed beyond the game of basketball. He organized Beyond Hoops which was a social gathering to educate youth and teens about the importance of financial literacy. He looks forward to connecting with players from all around the world and spreading the mission of TVP Basketball.
